Structural And Performance Description:

The SG-ZP Medium Frequency Induction Melting Furnace consists of a vacuum furnace body, medium frequency power supply, vacuum system, cooling system, and electrical control system.

 Furnace Body:

The furnace shell has a diameter of Φ800mm and a height of 1200mm, equipped with a KT-300 diffusion pump and a 2X-70 mechanical pump.

The furnace body is a vertically oriented, water-cooled, double-walled cylinder with an arched bottom and water cooling. The left side of the furnace body houses the feeding device for the induction coil, which receives electrical energy from the medium frequency power supply through external cables and feeding electrodes.

The vacuum system is located on the centerline to the right of the furnace. The induction coil for melting is positioned slightly towards the back of the furnace's center, and its tilting is controlled by a hydraulic system.

Below the front end of the induction coil is the casting chamber, equipped with a platform for placing ingot molds. Ingots are removed using a crane within the workshop.

The furnace cover is a double-walled, water-cooled, arched cover with a ramming rod, rotating observation window, and alloy feeding chute. A sealing ring on the flange surface of the furnace mouth ensures sealing during vacuuming, relying on atmospheric pressure.

The rotating observation window, composed of one blind plate and two quartz glass lenses, allows clear observation of the crucible and pouring process. The window can be rotated 60° to expose a clean lens if one is soiled by metal vapor deposits. When not in use, the blind plate can be moved below the observation window glass to protect the quartz glass from long-term thermal radiation.

The furnace cover is opened and closed using a hydraulic lifting device, which lifts the cover a certain distance before it can be manually rotated open. The lifting position is protected by double limit switches.

Medium Frequency Power Supply:

The induction coil is wound with specially shaped copper tubes, and the melting crucible is made of high-purity graphite.

The power supply panel features a touchscreen display with built-in PLC control settings. The medium frequency power is adjusted using a potentiometer. The panel also includes fault indicator lights, which ensure immediate system shutdown in case of low water pressure, overcurrent, short circuit, or other faults, ensuring safe equipment operation.

The power supply is placed on the operating platform for easy operation and observation. The power cabinet supplies power to the isolation transformer through a water-cooled cable. The isolation transformer and capacitor are installed on a frame below the introduction end (electrode) of the inductor and connected to the electrode device using a water-cooled copper bar.

 Vacuum System:

The vacuum system of the medium frequency induction melting furnace consists of one 2X-70 mechanical pump, one KT-300 oil diffusion vacuum pump, vacuum piping, and pneumatic damper valves.

A stainless steel filter screen is installed at the furnace's exhaust port to protect the vacuum mechanics. An electromagnetic differential pressure valve is installed at the pump inlet of the 2X-70 mechanical pump to prevent oil backflow into the furnace in case of sudden power failure.

The vacuum unit is equipped with a vacuum pressure gauge, vacuum gauge tube socket, vent valve, and protective gas inflating valve. The vacuum piping is made of seamless steel tubes. The KT-300 oil diffusion pump is equipped with a water-cooled cold trap and a pneumatic damper valve. 

The vacuum piping includes pneumatic damper valves, with electrical interlocking devices between them to prevent misoperation.The vacuum inside the furnace is measured using a digital composite vacuum gauge.

Cooling System:

The medium frequency induction melting furnace has a centralized cooling water supply and drainage system. The main cooling water supply unit is equipped with multiple ball valves for distributing cooling water to different paths and an electric contact water pressure gauge. In case of low water pressure, the system immediately issues an audiovisual alarm and stops operating.

Cooling water from various paths collects in a small, open-top water tank, allowing for easy detection of water temperature and observation of water flow in each path. Users only need to connect the main supply and drainage pipes of the cooling water to the corresponding pipes of the vacuum furnace.

Electrical Control System:

The system uses a liquid crystal touchscreen display, making program setting faster and equipment status more intuitive. Settings and operations are presented in a graphic and text interface for easy operation.Data can be stored and output, and copied to a computer via a USB interface for long-term storage. The system can store multiple programs.

 Aesthetically pleasing and energy-efficient high-temperature furnace chamber made of polycrystalline alumina fibers.

2.lectrical Components And Temperature Control

 All electronic components are sourced from Delixi, with thyristors being original equipment from Japan or Germany.

 For safe and efficient operation, an imported all-copper isolated transformer is used.

Temperature control and detection are fully implemented using:Single platinum-rhodium (Type S) thermocouples for temperatures up to 1500℃; Double platinum-rhodium (Type B) thermocouples for temperatures up to 1800℃.
